Stakeholder Attitudes on the Barriers to Innovative Environmental Technologies

This report presents the results of a survey of regulators, users, vendors of environmental technologies. It focuses on these stakeholder groups' perception of barriers to the permitting, use, or development of innovative environmental technologies. It attempts to verify the existence of the barriers identified previously by the reports of the Technology Innovation and Economics Committee of the National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology and other research and publications on technology innovation. The three stakeholder groups were interviewed by telephone about their personal experience in considering innovative technologies in the previous five years.
