National Estimates of Water Quality Benefits

The purpose of this study was to define, document, assimilate and extrapolate existing research findings of other scientists and analysts toward the goal of developing current national estimates of water quality benefits in the United States. National benefit estimates representing eleven categories of water quality related benefits discussed in this analysis are as follows: Recreation, 1) Recreation Benefits; Production, 2) Municipal Benefits 3) Domestic Benefits 4) Agricultural Benefits 5) Industrial Benefits 6) Commercial Fishing Benefits 7) Navigation Benefits 8) Property Value Benefits; Health, 9) Health Benefits; Ecological, 10) Ecological Benefits; Esthetics, 11) Esthetic Benefits.
