Oxidants and Asthmatics in Los Angeles: A Benefits Analysis- Executive Summary

This study estimates economic measures of changes in well-being related to changes in asthma severity. This research effort examines changes in behavior, expenditures and willingness to pay as related to changes in asthma severity and air pollution. It is based upon information obtained from a panel of 82 asthmatics in Glendora, California, in the fall of 1983. The panel of asthmatics represents individuals in a population expected to be sensitive to ambient oxidant levels.
