National Aggregate Benefits of Air and Water Pollution Control

The scope of this Cooperative Agreement is divided into three research subjects. The objectives are as follows: Research Subject 4A, 1) Estimate national aggregate benefits of controlling air and water pollution using the methods or combination of methods likely to produce the best possible estimates. 2) Integrate results of other EPA/OPRM research as appropriate. 3) Recommend research to improve benefit estimates, benefit estimation methods, and data collection efforts that contribute to benefit estimation. Research Subject 4B, Review and assess methods and data sources for determining national economic benefits of controlling air and water pollution from mobile sources. Recommend research to improve methods and benefit estimates. Research Subject 4C, Assess health care expenditure analyses for valuing morbidity and related risks including those associated with toxic pollutants.
