Capital and Operating Costs of Pollution Control Equipment Modules, Vol. I - User Guide
This manual comprises a User Guide (Volume I) and Data Manual (Volume II). It enables the user not expertly skilled in the particular technical field of cost engineering/process economics to prepare reasonable conceptual cost estimates for proposed environmental protection flow processing facilities. The easily used graphical and tabular format used for the presentation of data enable the user to rapidly evaluate alternamtive costl/process decisions for proposed environmental protedction flow processing facilities. Illustrative examples are given enabling the user to prepare estimates of conceptual environmental protection processes using the companion conceptual environmental protection processes using the companion Data Manual. Emphasis is placed upon the determination of the installed and annual costs of individual process equipment modules, determination of the installed and annual process costs, and evaluation of the potential process profitability in those cases where profit is a motive.
The Data Manual presents, in convenient graphical and tabular form, cost information for installed equipment item modules on separate data sheets. Each data sheet conforms to a uniform style providing information on the specific item and adjustments to atypical installation, construction, or design.
