Benefit Methodologies Applied to Ecological Hazards from Toxic Substances, Volume II of Research and Demonstration of Improved Methods for Carrying Out Benefit-Cost Analysis of Individual Regulation

The purpose of the series, of which this report is the second volume, is to develop improved methods for carrying out benefit-cost analyses of individual environmental regulations. The series focuses on the benefits of controlling toxic pollutants, rather than the costs, and uses case studies of individual pollutants as a means of integrating the theory and the empirical issues. This second volume of the series concerns the use of benefit methodologies to assess ecological hazards and consists of two parts. The first part discusses methods for estimating the benefits of mitigating ecological damages from toxic chemicals; the second part discusses the use of quantitative modeling in decision analysis in assessing the ecological hazards from pesticides.
