Ciba Speciality Chemicals, Cranston is a closed chemical manufacturing facility which also stored hazardous organic and inorganic wastes in tanks and drums. The facility is located on a 31 acre parcel of land. The site is zoned for industrial/commercial use. The site is undergoing investigation and cleanup under a RCRA 3008(h) order issued by EPA. There have been several public meetings to discuss cleanup activities and re-use issues for the site.
