ME Metal Finishing/Silvex, South Gorham, ME is a closed metal finishing and metal plating facility. The facility's finishing and plating process discharged wastewater to on-site lagoons which resulted in contamination of the groundwater. In 1999 EPA determined based on input from Maine DEP that unacceptable human exposures are not occurring and that contaminants in groundwater are clearly delineated and controlled.
