Agency Realty and Mortgage Co. Inc. (Carroll Products), Wood River Junction, RI. The currently vacant site was formerly used as a chemical blending and manufacturing facility. The facility operated two unlined hazardous waste lagoons, which received metallic and organic wastes from the manufacturing operations. Significant remedial work has been performed including demolition of several dilapidated buildings; excavation of lagoon sediments; reconstruction of wetlands; contaminated soil removal; and installation of LNAPL skimmers and an SVE system to collect chlorinated solvent vapors. Remaining work includes groundwater sampling, preparation of a final RFI and risk assessment, implementation of institutional controls, and a final remedy. The facility has achieved the CA725 and CA750 Environmental Indicators.
