Shaun, on our original email/conversation it was in regard to the DS-1113, however when we made our joint call to look at the chains and the distance and the location of the enclosure we were discussing X-678 overhead conveyor chain. If the system is incorrect for this style of chain please let me know. If not what points of this chain get lubed? How is it labled a “No-Drip” system? How does the rail get lubricated and still be a “No-Drip” system”? All-Power came to them with individual lube systems @ $2,000 each, or basically $6,000 for three chains. They insist there is no such thing as a “No-Drip” chain lubrication system.

 

The current lubricant they are using is a “Mega-Plate” #78. The guy from Jax is supposed to be @ American Foods today or tonight sometime. We need to make sure that if we move forward with this any lubrication changes he makes will work with our lubrication system and give the best lube and the least chance of “Dripping”

This is the chain American Foods wants me to quote an "oil" lube system for. 

They have (2) chains running side by side that are approximately 25' long each, for a total of 100' of chain.

 

They are going to have other applications using this same chain and using chain # DS-6272 (6.00" Pitch)

Based on Page #3 (see attached) we are lubricating the pin/roller interaction points and the link/link interaction points on each chain.  If the chains differ from the original quoted material, maybe I need to come up there before we process any POs.

In regards to the 3-Chain Overhead “No-Drip” lube system for American Foods. Can you tell me what components are being lubed? What about the rail itself. They told me they were bringing in the guy from Jax to discuss specific lubes for the chains. I don’t want him specifying a lube that won’t work with your proposed system (pumps and nozzles).
