Program description:
Hands Across the River Coalition works with the EPA Superfund clean-up of PCBs and the state Adopt A Stream program. We have adopted the Acushnet River which we monitor from land, water, and air. We are involved in environmental justice issues in surrounding towns, which includes monitoring hazardous waste sites. We also sponsor spring and fall riverbank cleanups.
