Northeastern Illinois Wetlands Conservation Account
Summary: The primary objective of projects developed and financed from this account will be to restore, enhance or replace functions and values of wetlands, and associated habitat, that have been degraded or destroyed as a result of activities conducted in violation of the Clean Water Act and/or the Rivers and Harbors Act. A secondary objective will be to develop projects or programs that promote a general understanding, appreciation and stewardship of wetlands and related resources.

Stormwater Management Commission of Lake County
Summary: The mission of SMC is to coordinate comprehensive stormwater management efforts throughout the county. Founded on the equal partnership between municipalities and the County of Lake, SMC provides technical assistance, local knowledge and problem-solving skills to service local and county government agencies, groups and residents to reduce flood damage and to improve surface water quality.
