Description: The Crum Ridley Chester Volunteer Monitoring Program does monitoring once a month on various points on Chester, Ridley, and Crum Creeks for chemical parameters, and twice a year for biological data (macroinvertebrates). Description: DCVA Stream Watch monitors streams in the Darby Creek watershed in southeast Pennsylvania. We use benthic macroinvertebrates as the primary indicator of stream health, and also evaluate stream habitat and monitor a few chemical parameters. We hope to monitor 5 sites at least once a year. We hold fiels days for menbers and volunteers, give workshops on macroinvertebate identification, and work to involve local schools.

Description: Lower Merion Conservancy volunteers monitor the streams within Lower Merion Township. Many of the streams flow directly into the Schuykill River. A few flow into Cobbs Creek and eventually into the Delaware River. We use Surber samplers to collect macroinvertebrates each April. Volunteers conduct chemical tests at their sites weekly, as well as habitat assessments. We were trained by Stroud Water Research Center, a research laboratory of the Academy of Natuaral Sciences in Philadelphia.
