Description:The Port Graham/Nanwalek Watershed Council Monitoring Program is based in the Alaska Native communities of Port Graham and Nanwalek on the Kenai Peninsula. We examine chemical, physical, and biological (rapid bioassessment) parameters of the Port Graham and English Bay Rivers. Local peoples gather data and report to the council so that tribally-based decisions concerning water quality can be made.
