Description: Chariton Middle School's ECO Monitors are collecting data as part of a 5 year project. We conduct bi-monthly water monitoring of the three Lucas County lakes (Ellis, Morris, Red Haw) that provide Chariton's drinking water. The ECO Monitors Science Club has begun to monitor the Chariton River as part of the Lake Rathburn Watershed project. Lake Rathburn Rural Water Association is one of the biggest rural water suppliers in the nation.
