EPA's Office of Water and Office of Research and Development requested a consultation with the Science Advisory Board to obtain advice on the development of EPA's WaterSentinel Program, a demonstration project proposed to design, deploy and evaluate a model contamination warning system for drinking water security. The Science Advisory Board undertook this activity as part of its effort to strengthen the science and research supporting EPA's role in homeland security.
