As part of its statutory duties, the SAB has the task of considering the science supporting actions identified in the Fall 2013 Unified (Regulatory) Agenda and Regulatory Plan published on November 26, 2013. In considering these actions, the SAB evaluates whether to review the science supporting any of the planned regulatory actions in that agenda in order to provide advice and comment on the adequacy of the science, as authorized by section (c) of the Environmental Research, Development and Demonstration Authorization Act. When conducting these discussions, the SAB follows a protocol (PDF, 4 pp., 33 kb, About PDF Files) adopted by the chartered SAB in 2013.
