Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) and Sulfur Oxides (SOx) Secondary Review Panel (NOx & SOx Secondary Review Panel)

Over the next two to three years, the Panel will provide advice and recommendations to the EPA Administrator on the scientific and technical aspects of the secondary (welfare-based) policy-relevant science and the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for both oxides of nitrogen and sulfur oxides.

For the remainder of Fiscal Year 2008, the panel will respond to a request from EPA’s Office of Research and Development for peer review of "Nitrogen Dioxide and Sulfur Dioxide Integrated Science Assessment for Secondary (Welfare-based) National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS)." It will also respond to a Office of Air and Radiation for a consultation on "Nitrogen Dioxide and Sulfur Dioxide Risk/Exposure Methods for Secondary (Welfare-based) National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS)" and for a peer review of EPA draft "Nitrogen Oxides Risk and Exposure Assessments for Secondary (Welfare-based) NAAQS."
