Jessica Montanez

Jessica Montanez works as an environmental engineer and writes the air regulations that large industrial facilities across the nation have to follow before they begin construction. She joined EPA in 2003 as part of the EPA Intern Program (EIP), a two-year career development program within the Agency and is willing to share information about the program to those interested.

Jessica graduated in May 2003 from the University of Puerto Rico MayagŁez Campus, with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and an Environmental Engineering Certification. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a focus on air quality. Jessica is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and enjoys encouraging students to pursue careers in engineering.
