Robert MacPhail, Phd

Dr. MacPhail has been with EPA for over 30 years and a founding member of the neurotoxicology research program. He has conducted laboratory research on the behavioral effects of a wide range of environmental contaminants and drugs. He has taught at several local universities and has given invited lectures at national and international conferences, universities and other institutions. He is a former President of the Neurotoxicology Specialty Section of the Society of Toxicology (2006-2007). In addition to his many research and teaching activities, he is especially interested in the human-health and ecological effects of environmental pollution, risk assessment, the intersection of science and law, and how science can influence public policy.
