Wanda Harris Pemberton

Wanda Harris Pemberton is a Program Development Specialist within the Sector Policies and Programs Division (SPPD), a component of the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS). SPPD is the largest division within OAQPS-RTP and they are responsible for managing/administering the development and promulgation of rules, under the Clean Air Act (CAA).
Wanda began her EPA career in 1988 and has held positions in the Finance Office, Facilities Management Division. Most recently she was a member of the EPA-RTP Human Resources Management Division, where she refined her expertise in the areas of employee development, organizational development and performance management. Her presentations are motivational in nature, and are based on her diverse career experiences inside and outside of the EPA. Wanda welcomes opportunities to help others achieve success in the areas of career planning, self development, and self marketing.
Her current responsibilities include the coordination and facilitation of monthly calls with Regional Air Toxics Coordinators; serving as a liaison between SPPD and other Divisions (in the areas of communication, outreach, and web design); conducting organizational assessments; and providing SPPD Senior Managers and Supervisors with advice, guidance, briefings and presentations related to improving employee effectiveness and job satisfaction.
Wanda is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill, and received her B.A. in Sociology, in 1986. In 2006, she received an MBA in Organizational Psychology and Development, from American Intercontinental University. Currently, Wanda is pursuing a PhD in Organizational Psychology through Walden University and hopes to graduate in 2014. She maintains memberships in a number of professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Triangle Organizational Network (TODN), and the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Wanda is also a certified life coach, trained image consultant, published author and Dress for Success™ volunteer. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family.

Note: There is no charge for a speaker. Travel is limited to (~50 miles) out of the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) area.
