This administrative record file contains the documents that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) used to identify appropriate remedial activities for the Middlefield-Ellis-Whisman (MEW) Superfund Study Area, in Mountain View, California. The MEW Study Area is comprised of three National Priorities List (NPL) or Superfund Sites: Fairchild Semiconductor Corp – Mountain View Superfund site; Raytheon Company Superfund site; and Intel Corp. – Mountain View Superfund site and portions of the Naval Air Station Moffett Field Superfund site.
The administrative record file includes EPA’s 1989 Record of Decision (ROD) and EPA’s 1990 and 1996 Explanations of Significant Differences (ESD). The administrative record file also includes supporting analysis and information for the development of the July 2009 Proposed Plan for the Vapor Intrusion Pathway for the MEW Study Area in Mountain View and Moffett Field, California. The administrative record file is presented in compact disk (CD) format.
