Removal Action

Administrative Record Index

To request copies of administrative record documents, an electronic order form is available.

The documents contained in this administrative record file were used by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in identifying appropriate removal activities for use at the Palos Verdes Shelf near Los Angeles, California. The removal activities are described in the Action Memorandum dated 9/28/2001 (see document AR 1157).
The administrative record contains documents in two media: documents AR 1 - AR 1076, and AR 1078 - AR 1158 are on microfilm; document AR 1077 is included in videocassette copy. The microfilmed documents are arranged in ascending chronological order with undated documents at the beginning of the sequence. Each document has been assigned a unique identification number.

For ease of use, all of the documents in the administrative record are listed in this single cumulative index that is presented in two formats. The first format lists the documents in AR number order, which reflects the arrangement of the documents in the file; second format lists the documents in ascending chronological order.

The list of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency guidance documents which were considered or relied upon in the selection of the removal action are documents AR 851 and AR 1158 in this administrative record file. Copies of the guidance documents are contained in the Compendium of CERCLA Response Selection Guidance Documents located in the Region 9 Superfund Records Center.
