Aerojet General Corp.

These documents (EPA document number 1615-0240) comprise a modification of the 1983 Partial Consent Decree between the State of California, the EPA, and Aerojet covering investigation of contamination originating on the Aerojet property in the unincorporated Rancho Cordova area of Sacramento county. It was previously modified on July 29, 1998, to add the chemical perchlorate to Exhibit 4 of the original, "Drinking Water Supply Wells", and to reduce the treatment discharge limit for N-Nitrosodimethylamine in Exhibit 6, "Groundwater Extraction & Treatment Facilities".

This modification:
(1) divides the site into operable units, to begin cleanup faster and make it easier to plan and oversee the cleanup,
(2) ensures that Aerojet’s parent company, GenCorp., would contribute to cleanup costs if necessary, and
(3) removes some areas of the Aerojet site the scope of the Decree, while requiring use restrictions on contaminated groundwater.
