San Fernando Valley (area 1 North Hollywood And Burbank)

This administrative record contains the documents that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is currently using to identify appropriate remedial activities for the San Fernando Valley Area 1 Superfund Site, North Hollywood Operable Unit in North Hollywood, California. The administrative record is presented in compact disk (CD) format. The administrative record will be updated periodically.

This administrative record includes updates 1 and 2 and the documents which support a Unilateral Administrative Order issued to Los Angeles By-Products on March 29, 2007 and a Unilateral Administrative Order issued to Los Angeles By Products; Pick Your Part Auto Wrecking; Waste Management Recycling & Disposal Services of California, Inc., dba Bradley Landfill & Recycling Center; Hawker Pacific Aerospace; the Wagner Living Trust; the Basinger B Trust (Exemption Trust); and the Basinger C Trust (Marital Trust) on September 18, 2008. Documents Removed from North Hollywood Operable Unit Administrative Record

The following documents were removed from the North Hollywood Operable Unit Administrative Record Index on September 26, 2006: 88132895 and 88132900. These documents were added to the Index by mistake, in that they were not part of the decision-making process for the Record of Decision. They are not properly part of and were never added to the Administrative Record. Accordingly, these documents have been removed from the Administrative Record Index. These documents are located in the North Hollywood Operable Unit Site File.

The following document was removed from the North Hollywood Operable Unit Administrative Record and its Index on May 16, 2007: 88134272 (the “Document”). EPA mistakenly added the Document to the Administrative Record. The Document was not the basis for, nor did it contribute to the basis for, EPA’s selection of a response action at the North Hollywood Operable Unit of the San Fernando Valley Superfund Site. Accordingly, EPA has removed the Document from the Administrative Record and its Index.
