Aerojet General Corp.

The documents contained in this administrative record file were used by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in identifying appropriate remedial activities for use at the Aerojet General Corp. Superfund site, Western Groundwater Operable Unit, in Rancho Cordova, California. The administrative record supports the Record of Decision (ROD) dated July 20, 2001, AR 457.
The administrative record contains documents in two media. Documents AR 1 - AR 330 and 332 - 458 are on microfilm. AR 331, which is a compact disc (CD-ROM) containing groundwater data, can be found in the AR cumulative index binder. The CD-ROM uses GIS/Key, and the files are in DBF format. The files can be accessed by any database system that can handle 1 million data points

The administrative record has been added to as documents have become available. Each compilation is arranged in ascending chronological order, with undated documents at the beginning of each sequence. Each document has been assigned a unique identification number.

For ease of use, the indexes have been combined to produce a cumulative index that is presented in two formats. The first format lists the documents in AR number order, which reflects the arrangement of the documents in the file; the second format lists the documents in ascending chronological order.

The Proposed Plan for the Western Groundwater Operable Unit is AR 333. The list of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency guidance documents which were considered or relied upon in the selection of the remedy is document AR 324 in this administrative record file. Copies of the guidance documents are contained in the Compendium of CERCLA Response Selection Guidance Documents located in the Region 9 Superfund Records Center.
