West Coast Forum on Climate Change, Waste Prevention, Recovery and Disposal
EPA Regions 9 and 10 hosted the West Coast Forum on Climate Change, Waste Prevention, Recovery and Disposal on September 11-12, 2008.
Summary
EPA Regions 9 and 10 hosted three web-based training sessions addressing the nexus between waste prevention, recycling, composting, materials management, disposal and climate change. All stakeholders were invited to participate.
Our goal was to bring together some of the best minds on the topic, help West Coast governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses and residents understand how prevention and recovery reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and do it in a way that creates the fewest climate impacts. By bringing live web-based training to your desktop and community, webinars minimize the climate and environmental impacts associated with traditional conferences and trainings.
