2009 Awards
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 10 is pleased to announce our 2009 Champions of Environmental Leadership and Green Government Awards. This program seeks to recognize those individuals and initiatives which have gone beyond regulatory compliance and show tangible measurement towards the Challenge goals, which is a 5% or more reduction in the target areas of energy, transportation, waste, water, and overall environmental leadership. This year, as part of our Federal Green Challenge, we had a record number of reductions associated with our Champions nominations. We are so pleased to have the opportunity to acknowledge some of the great work being accomplished by our federal partners in Region 10 and members of the Federal Green Challenge.
