Description
Virginia Industries (Former Holgraph Medical Technologies), Cheshire, CT manufactured medical needles from 1972-1996 and operated two 1100 gal above ground storage tanks and one 1000 gal underground storage tank. Organic wastes and grinding sludge containing cadmium and chromium were stored in the tanks. Significant remedial work has been performed at the site in recent years. EPA expects that by the year 2002 data will be available indicating that human exposures are not occurring and that contaminants in groundwater will clearly delineated and controlled.
