Description
A Phase I Targeted Brownfields Assessment (TBA) was completed on 1/18/2001 and a Phase II Targeted Brownfields Assessment (TBA) was completed on 12/28/2001($106,350).
Current Status
A nonprofit organization, Boston Aging Concerns/ Young and Old United, Inc., bought the property. The nonprofit remediated the properties (the cost was about $300,000) and is currently developing the property into 41 residential units on 9 different sites. The total cost of the project is $8.5 million dollars, which came from both private and public funds, including the city's and state's HOME funds. The residential units are going to be geared towards intergenerational families, and a community center (which will be located on one of the sites) will provide services to the families.
