EPA regulations are authorized by laws passed by Congress. The topics listed below relate to broad categories of laws. Click on a topic to read its definition and a list of related regulations that are under development, or view a list of all of the priority rulemakings currently in Reg DaRRT. Priority Rulemakings for Air   Priority rulemakings listed under “Air” are being developed under statutory authority granted to EPA by the Clean Air Act
General Priority Rulemakings   Priority rulemakings developed under statutes under which EPA rarely writes rules or under which EPA has a limited role, plus rulemakings that arise from various statutory authorities
Priority Rulemakings for Pesticides   Priority rulemakings developed under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA)
