Border commission awarded more than $1 million for Border 2012 projects

(Dallas, Texas – September 12, 2008) The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $1,005,000 to the Border Environmental Cooperation Commission to implement projects aligned to the objectives of the Border 2012 program. Working in cooperation with the EPA, the Border Environmental Cooperation Commission will develop a process for soliciting project proposals, selecting eligible projects, and implementing the selected projects for EPA Region 6. Priority areas and emerging issues for this project will be determined by regional work groups.
