A public meeting to provide input to EPA on pesticide regulatory issues will be held in Arlington, Va., on Dec. 4-5. The EPA-sponsored meeting is of the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC), which was established in 1995 under the Federal Advisory Committee Act as a forum for a diverse group of stakeholders interested in EPA’s pesticide decisions to provide input to the Agency. Members of the committee include environmental/public interest and consumer groups, industry and trade associations, pesticide users, federal and state/local governments, the general public, academia and public health organizations. The Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee is a forum for the groups to provide advice and recommendations to EPA regarding a broad range of pesticide regulatory development and program implementation issues associated with evaluating and reducing risks from use of pesticides.
