CONGRESSMAN KENNEDY, AND CONGRESSMAN WEYGAND TO ANNOUNCE MILESTONE AGREEMENT FOR REINVENTING ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION FOR THE METAL FINISHING INDUSTRY IN PROVIDENCE, R.I.

U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will join Senator John Chafee, Senator Jack Reed, Congressman Patrick Kennedy, and Congressman Robert Weygand on Monday, Oct. 27, 1997 at 11:40 a.m. at Victory Finishing Technologies Inc. in South Providence, R.I. to announce a milestone agreement for reinventing environmental regulation nationwide for the metal finishing industry. Browner will discuss the terms of the agreement -- the first reached under the Clinton Administration’s Common Sense Initiative -- and the Clinton Administration’s overall actions to develop new flexible, common sense ways to achieve greater environmental protection at less cost.
