Today, Thursday: EPA hosts government press briefing on ongoing Enbridge oil spill response

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(MARSHALL, MICH. Aug. 5, 2010) – On behalf of the Unified Command, EPA officials, along with federal, state and county representatives will hold a media briefing regarding the ongoing response to the Enbridge oil spill in Michigan’s Kalamazoo River. EPA has the role of Federal On-Scene Coordinator for this incident.
The Briefing will take place at 3:00 PM EDT.
Officials with Enbridge will separately brief the media immediately following the government briefing at the same location.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Media attending in person for the first time should arrive 30 minutes ahead of the conference to allow time for required credentials to be verified and photo identification badge to be produced. You will be directed from the parking lot to the elementary school for this process.
