NEWS BRIEF: Working to protect Nevada City's valuable, natural resources

NEWS BRIEF: Today, the EPA's Pacific Southwest office launched a video and feature on its website detailing the work being conducted in Nevada City, Calif. The City is using Brownfields assessment funds, working with federal and local agencies, to address abandoned mine sites. Funds are being spent to assess properties, prioritize sites for cleanup, and analyze cleanup options for mine-scarred lands. The video features interviews with engineers, scientists and a representative from the local nongovernmental organizations working to protect Nevada City's valuable, natural resources.
