    Chapter 4 - EPA's General Discrimination Prohibitions

EPA's regulations at 40 C.F.R. Parts 5 & 7 contain two general discrimination prohibitions.

  • No person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving EPA assistance on the basis of race, color, national origin, or on the basis of sex in any program or activity receiving EPA assistance under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended, including the Environmental Financing Act of 1972. 40 C.F.R.   • No qualified disabled person shall solely on the basis of disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving EPA assistance. 40 C.F.R. Parts 5 and 7
