FY08 Asbestos in Schools Report
The Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety (MADOCS) Asbestos in Schools Program will: (1) review school asbestos management plans to ensure they are in compliance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (40 CFR 763); (2) maintain an asbestos accreditation and certification training program, (3) provide educational outreach activities to teachers, parents, and school maintenance personnel on the dangers of exposure to asbestos containing materials; and (4) perform compliance enforcement audits of state licensed asbestos professionals.
