The Advocates for Rockland, Abington, Weymouth and Hingham (ARAWH) will use funds to help the community affected by the South Weymouth Naval Air Station Superfund Site (South Weymouth, MA) to understand information contained in EPA technical documents related to hazardous waste site cleanup and to understand the issues and decisions that need to be made related to hazardous waste site cleanup. An independent technical advisor(s) will be procured by ARAWH to review and inform the community on EPA documents related to the site cleanup. The technical advisor's information will be shared with the rest of the community and will aid the community in the preparation of public comments and allow it to more meaningfully participate in the cleanup decision-making process.
