The Border Environment Cooperation Commission (BECC) through its technical assistance program will provide communities with financial assistance for the preparation of planning and design studies to help develop environmental infrastructure projects leading to certification. The technical assistance to be provided will help in developing project planning studies, environmental studies, engineering design, legal and financial feasibility studies, community participation plans, and project-specific capacity building to address the 9 certification criteria. The BECC will work with eligible Category 1 projects selected under the FY09/10 prioritization process.
