Project Title & Description
Superfund Technical Assistance Grant
Grant funds will be used to contract a technical advisor to help the community affected by Captain Jack understand information contained in EPA technical documents related to site cleanup and to understand the implications of some of the site-related decisions that need to be made. The information provided by the technical advisor will help all the affected community members understand the variety of issues related to site cleanup. With a better understanding of site-related, technical information, the community can more meaningfully participate in the cleanup decision-making process and can influence the clean-up levels and remedies so they are more protective of community health and more in line with communty needs.
