Project Title & Description
Environmental Justice Green Jobs Development Program
The project's objective is to see the emerging green economy in New Orleans be inclusive and accessible to all rather than excluding those most in need of training and work. It is a multi-faceted effort to significantly improve the quality of life and increase economic opportunities for New Orleanians and their families by connecting 14 disadvantaged workers to subsidized green job training and workforce opportunities. Activities include: subsidized green job hands-on training in the energy efficiency field; 6 months paid apprenticeship training, and case management assistance.
