Project Title & Description
Takshanuk Watershed Council
This Green Careers program is a vocation-based internship program for high schoolers. The program will create a series of internships based on integrating existing high school curriculum with rigorous, individualized job training experiences with local fisheries management, tourism, or fish and wildlife law enforcement organizations. The project will have rigorous individualized job training, matching students with mentors and perhaps hometown green careers. An in-school class will include field trips and mentor involvement. Students will also share their knowledge weekly by radio.
