The University of Wisconsin's Solid & Hazardous Waste Education Center (SHWEC) will deliver pollution prevention outreach education and technical assistance to reduce emissions of Reactive Organic Gas (ROG) and Particulate Matter 2.5 micron diameter or smaller (PM 2.5) by industry, business & communities. The project will also continue the SHWEC student intern pilot program to assist hospitals in special pollution prevention projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as hazardous and solid waste.
