This project will conduct research on contaminant distribution in soils at brownfield sites and their subsequent uptake by plant material. Studies will be done at various brownfields sites and tools developed which will be shared with communities on assessing the potential of a site for farming/gardening, crop selection, and other factors to consider when determining the suitability of a brownfield site for gardening or farming.
