To develop statistical methods for quantitative benchmark dose estimation for use in human and environmental health risk assessment. These methods will improve quantitative risk assessment by developing a statistical basis on which dose-response relationships can be characterized. The study will examine the accuracy of current dose-response assessment methods and demonstrate a novel method for the development and evaluation of such relationships.
