08/09 Beach Monit. & Notific for Connecticut Coastal Beaches
Per your application request dated March 26, 2009, this grant agreement is being awarded to provide funding for the continuation of Connecticut Department of Health (CTDPH) activities to implement its state-wide coastal beach monitoring, assessment, and notification program under the federal BEACH Act. CT DPH funds monitoring and analysis of indicator bacteria at coastal beaches, provides technical assistance to local communities for assessment of pollution sources at specific beaches and reports to EPA electronically and in annual reports, and will report the results of monitoring and notification actions in an EPA beach program specified format.
