2006 MONITORING AND SURVEILLANCE OF GREAT LAKES PLANKTON AND BENTHOS
Task I. Collection of Spring,Summer Samples, and assist with the collection of zooplankton, phytoplankton, benthos, and chlorophyll during Great Lakes National Program spring and summer surveys of all five Great Lakes. Task II. Analysis of spring and summer 2006 benthos samples, sort, identify, and enumerate benthic invertebrates from spring and summer samples. Prepare the data for presentation and publication. Task III. Analysis of spring and summer 2006 zooplankton samples identify and enumerate rotifers and crustacean zooplankton from approximately 400 samples that will be collected during spring and summer 2006. Task IV. Analysis of Chlorophyll samples from spring and summer 2006 Filter approximately 1200 water samples in the field and prepare them for fluorometric chlorophyll analysis.
