Consolidated Pesticide Program - Enforcement, Certification, and Program/Special Projects
In FY 2004, the Pesticide Cooperative Agreement will cooperate in the enforcement of FIFRA, certify and train pesticide applicators, and continue development and implementation of programs for the protection of farm workers, water quality, and endangered species. WSDA has been designated as the lead agency with primary enforcement responsibility for pesticide use violations in Washington. As authorized by FIFRA Section 23, this agreement provides for cooperation between WSDA and EPA for the enforcement of FIFRA, implementation of pesticide enforcement programs, and development and administration of programs to train and certify pesticide applicators.
