Asbestos Management Program
THE MASSACHUSETTS DIVISION OF OCCUPATIONAL SATETY WILL REVIEW SCHOOL ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT PLANS TO ENSURE THAT THE ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR MASSACHUSETTS SCHOOLS ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ASBESTOS HAZARD EMERGENCY RESPONSE ACT. IN ADDITION, THE MASSACHUSETTS DIVISION OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY WILL MAINTAIN THE ASBESTOS ACCREDIATION AND CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING PROGRAM THROUGH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH ACTIVITES TO EDUCATE TEACHERS, PARENTS AND SCHOOL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL ON THE DANGERS OF EXPOSURE TO ASBESTOS CONTAING MATERIALS.
